Senior Full stack Software Engineer

As a full stack software engineer you will be helping to build our products from front-to-back. In particular we are looking for someone with an intuitive understanding of design and how that interacts with the data that comes from our API servers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using continuous delivery practices to improve software delivery speed

  • Working in a collaborative, product-focused team to build the next generation of civic tech

  • Create a dynamic and responsive react native and react single page application

  • Applying the latest technology thinking to build software that will help communities and political campaigns to engage voters

  • Create designs and intuitive interfaces that engage and volunteers and campaign staff

  • Hook those beautiful designs into our API all the way down to the database layer

What we’re looking for:

  • A team player capable of communicating well.

  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code. Our current tech stack includes, linux, MySql, Golang, React, and React-native.

  • We don’t limit ourselves to one language; experience in Java, Scala, C#, Javascript, Ruby, Python, or Golang  is preferred.

  • Experience working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.

  • Knowledge and appreciation of cloud technology such as Google Cloud or AWS.

  • Experience with single page applications and their technologies like React, React-Native.

  • A passion for all things design, including interaction design and user interface design.

director/manager of business development

We’re looking for a Business Development Director or Manager to work with our Chief Operating Officer full time from Washington, D.C. You’re nimble and flexible, and looking to fill an evolving role at a young and fast-growing company. You want to help build a strong sales process, replete with quarterly goals. You are highly organized and capable of working in tandem with the sales efforts our leadership team is doing in adjacent sectors. You will be the first sales hire at a company that tripled in size in 2018 and will continue to grow.

If you have a passion for organization, a sense of humor, insatiable curiosity, a wellspring of curiosity, and a track record of doing whatever it takes, we want you to be a part of making our vision a reality.

Preferred Experience and Disposition

  • Knowledge of political influencer market: individual who understands the dynamic and complex ecosystem that drives purchasing decisions

  • Generate business development leads with qualitative and quantitative research into issue advocacy, nonprofit organizations, campaigns, and candidates

  • Contribute to creation of a sales culture, process, and team

  • Develop strategies to successfully position The Tuesday Company for further growth

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of our software, Team, in order to educate potential clients on the power of digital community organizing with this product

  • Respond to RFPs with creative solutions

  • Manage potential clients through the entirety of the sales cycle

  • Maintain a robust system of reporting, notes, and accountability regarding the sales process
