STRATEGIC OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Tuesday Company is hiring a Strategic Operations Manager to support our Chief Operating Officer. As a young and fast-growing company, we’re looking for someone who is nimble and flexible to fill an evolving role. We currently know this person will maintain internal operations and may assist with thought leadership, PR, conducting industry research on topics, companies, or opportunities, and improving the process of a company that tripled in size this year and will continue to grow.
We’re looking for someone whose work will allow our senior leadership to make better decisions faster and more efficiently. Our ideal candidate has a passion for organization, a sense of humor, insatiable curiosity, and a track record of doing whatever it takes.
Requirements and Responsibilities
1-2 years experience supporting a c-suite executive in an Executive Assistant, Operations, or Chief of Staff-type position. Bonus if you have experience building reporting documents and manipulating pivot tables in Excel!
Act as the COO’s proxy in meetings when needed and speak on behalf of her position
Execute on strategic projects and initiatives
Aid in the launch and maintenance of our Advisory Council
Liaise with Finance on outstanding client invoices and accounting needs
Support Human Resources by growing our hiring pipeline, aiding with staff on and off-boarding, and provisioning all benefits properly
Draft high level communications including external monthly updates for supporters and regular briefings for investors
Create public-facing collateral for fundraising, support the creation of collateral for Client Success Team, and draft talking points for public engagements
Promote company culture, including collaboration and transparency, through regular internal updates, organized calendars, and quarterly retreats
Full Stack Software Engineer
As a full stack software engineer you will be helping build our products from front-to-back. In particular, we are looking for someone with an intuitive understanding of design and how that interacts with the data that comes from our API servers.
Using continuous delivery practices to improve software delivery speed
Working in a collaborative, product-focused team to build the next generation of civic tech
Create a dynamic and responsive react native and react single page application
Applying the latest technology thinking to build software that will help communities and political campaigns to engage voters
Create designs and intuitive interfaces that engage and volunteers and campaign staff
Hook those beautiful designs into our API all the way down to the database layer
What we’re looking for:
A team player capable of communicating well.
Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code. Our current tech stack includes, linux, MySql, Python, React, and React-native.
Experience working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.
Knowledge and appreciation of cloud technology such as React, React-native or single page applications is a plus.
A passion for all things design, including interaction design and user interface design.
