Senior Front-end Software Engineer

As a senior front-end software engineer you will be helping to build a high quality user experience. In particular we are looking for someone with an intuitive understanding of design and how that interacts with the data that comes from our API servers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop new user-facing features

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

  • Collaborate with our design and development team and other stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience with single page applications and their technologies like React, React-Native.

  • A passion for all things design, including interaction design and user interface design.

  • A team player capable of communicating well.

  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code using React and React-native.

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks

  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN

  • Experience working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.

Director of Digital Organizing

The Tuesday Company builds software that helps organizations strengthen relationships with supporters to drive community, activism, and fundraising.

We seek a Director of Digital Organizing to lead our efforts to contact and motivate voters in 2020. The Director of Digital Organizing will develop best practices for building digital communities in Team, manage a team responsible for building and supporting the largest digital-first volunteer group in electoral history, and assume responsibility for turning out hundreds of thousands of voters in battleground states.

The ideal candidate for this role has:

1. Excellent conversational writing 

2. Proficiency in managing digital ad buys (programmatic is a major plus)

3. Excellence in organic social media storytelling

4. Excellence in field organizing

5. Management experience, to lead a group of 10-15 organizers

6. Excellent capacity for personal storytelling

7. Confidence communicating through SMS and other asynchronous text formats

8. Knowledge of best practices in relational organizing

9. Proficiency in developing instructional materials and collateral

10. Strong oral presentation skills

11. Strong ability to relate to diverse groups of people
