Senior Front-end Software Engineer

As a senior front-end software engineer you will be helping to build a high quality user experience. In particular we are looking for someone with an intuitive understanding of design and how that interacts with the data that comes from our API servers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop new user-facing features

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

  • A team player capable of communicating well.

  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code. Our current tech stack includes, linux, MySql, Golang, React, and React-native.

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks

  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN

  • Experience working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.

  • Experience with single page applications and their technologies like React, React-Native.

  • A passion for all things design, including interaction design and user interface design.

Director of Advocacy Partnerships

We’re looking for a Director of Advocacy Partnerships to work with our Chief Strategy Officer full time from Washington, D.C. You’re nimble and flexible, and looking to fill an evolving role at a young and fast-growing company. You want to help build a strong sales process, replete with quarterly goals, and you are excited about mentoring others. You are highly organized and capable of working in tandem with the sales efforts our leadership team is doing in adjacent sectors. You will help design and execute our advocacy vertical’s go-to-market strategy while further building and driving relationships in this industry. You will be the first sales hire at a company that tripled in size in 2018 and will continue to grow.

Preferred Experience and Disposition

  • 3+ years in the nonprofit advocacy or political campaign space on a field, digital, and/or fundraising team

  • Experience working in sales, preferably at a SaaS company

  • Demonstrable success sourcing and closing SaaS sales pipelines

  • Experience growing and leading a sales team

  • Strong relationships in the advocacy and nonprofit sector

  • Deep understanding of the dynamic and complex ecosystem that drives purchasing decisions

  • Desire to grow as a leader and not only take on - but create - new opportunities

  • Love of politics, and a willingness to become an issue-area expert

  • Desire to be an agent of positive change

  • Ability to self-manage and desire to grow as a leader; thrives with the ambiguity that comes with a successful, growing company.


  • Experience working high-level at a non-profit or an advocacy organization in the progressive political ecosystem

  • Excellent at building relationships

  • Strong writing and communication skills


  • Build relationships with nonprofit staffers that generate advocacy vertical sales

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of our software, Team, in order to educate potential clients on the power of digital community organizing with this product

  • Cross-functional responsibilities including playing a role in product development and evolution

  • Source and respond to RFPs with creative solutions

  • Manage potential clients through the entirety of the sales cycle

  • Contribute to the creation of a sales culture, process, and team

  • Develop strategies to successfully position The Tuesday Company for further growth

  • Maintain a robust system of reporting, notes, and accountability regarding the sales process

  • Continue to embody the successful brand presence of The Tuesday Company in the market
